WHO FOUNDED THE HEART OF MISS BEE?
Kinyatta E. Gray founded The Heart of Miss Bee to honor her mother, the late Beverly E. Carroll. After losing her mother, journaling about her grief and loss was a lifesaver. So she committed to educating other women on the benefits of grief journaling to heal while coping with grief.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE FREE GRIEF JOURNALS?
The Heart of Miss Bee's target receiver is a woman/teenage girl in DC, MD, or VA who is suffering a traumatic loss, such as death of a parent. However, anyone who has experienced a loss may access our free journal and download it.
WHO BENEFITS FROM DONATIONS TO THE HEART OF MISS BEE?
Generous donations help our organization fund our free grief journal program for women, teens, and girls in the DMV. In addition, the contributions assist us with purchasing grief journals.
